David Broughton founded BWL in 2008 following a successful career of over 20 years as a General Manager and Business Developer in the retail sector. Working for JSainsbury, Blockbuster and DSG David developed the ability to identify opportunities to reduce costs and maximise profits. He then used these key retail skills providing consultancy globally to organisations such as Nokia, Nestle, McVities and General Mills.
David combined his experience with his passion for retail to develop BWL and build a team who have worked with vendors such as Mclaren and Aston Martin (via Brand&), X-Gem, Orla Kiely and Tony Cohen to introduce their products to market and develop distribution channels.
One of the great successes of the business was the Vuvuzelas for the Football World Cup in South Africa. David was able to look ahead of the trend and capitalise on a phenomenon proving our ability to be the first to market.
We are currently looking for new and exciting products to bring to market as the business is transitioning from working with clearance products into FMCG distribution. During this rapid expansion period we are seeking more supplier partners to join us.
